Interested in Feng Shui Training?

If you have ever taken feng shui classes or had any feng shui training, then you know what a big difference feng shui can make in the home. One of the biggest benefits of getting one's feng shui certification, other than all the knowledge gained through the training, is that you can begin doing feng shui consultations for others. Feng shui consulting is not only a service that is marketable, but it is one that can be very enriching on a personal level as well. Knowing that you are helping others to create homes, gardens, offices, and other spaces that will support them in their goals is something to feel good about.

Imagine, after completing your feng shui training and getting your certification, that you go out on your first consultation. When you arrive at the home of your new client, you notice that they are living in a newer home that clearly has a few feng shui issues as far as design goes. You might notice a mirror facing out the front door in the foyer, and then later, when the woman expresses her desire to be able to host more easily, be able to understand how this project of energy out of the house is causing her to feel like her home is not conducive to hosting. Likewise, recognizing energy drains in the house, or stuck energy, and then having a client explain to you that lately, the home office just hasn't been a very productive place and it feels like time is wasted or ill spent, you'll already be on top of the problem.

When you work with people to create better feng shui in their homes, there is a balance between their personal style, the design of their home, and the elements of feng shui. This is where your interpersonal skills come in. If a client tells you that their husband hates the color yellow and cannot stand to see it, ever, then it is your job to find another way to bring into the home the same energy that would be achieved by painting the walls yellow. After all, inducing misery is no way to help a person appreciate their home more!

Using your feng shui certification as a consultant is very different from working on a decorative level. Decoration is simply aesthetics, but with feng shui, energy is involved. This requires a deeper conversation about a person's life, space, and goals.
